Each month we will be highlighting a new citizenship trait. Mrs. Downs discusses the trait with students on the Bulldog News Network. Classes select students who consistently display these traits throughout the school building. March's citizenship trait was fairness.

When we return from Spring Break, we will be kicking off our celebration of our military kids with our Month of the Military Child Spirit Week! We look forward to celebrating the resiliency, sacrifice and strength that our students that are members of our military families show every day!

Calling all Class of 2038 students!

It's time to register for kindergarten! 

To assist the division calendar committee’s work in evaluating start and end dates for the 2026-27 school year, families, students and staff are invited to participate in a brief survey by Sunday, March 23.

YCSD and multiple Hampton Roads area businesses and organizations are partnering to support inclusivity and provide resources to families of students with disabilities.

December's highlighted character trait was Trustworthiness.

Beginning January 6, 2025, all YCSD schools will implement No Cell, Bell-to-Bell policies. Ensuring students have their personal devices off and away during the school day fosters a safe and healthy learning environment, where students can fully engage in their studies and interact meaningfully with their peers and teachers.
